Or the "Mainline buffet" Oh we made a funny!

I believe, if I'm correct, that the average CEO makes almost 380x more then what his lowest salary paid worker makes. I know that CEO doesn't work 380x harder then that lowest paid worker and that's the fact Jack. Substitute the word "strike" with the word "stand down", it's more direct and for the worker and less of a stigma for the general population.

They lose one min. wage job, they either get another one, or onto welfare; which is better in many states than working fast food.

We start all over again at the bottom. But, I wonder if you have been paying attention. Eagle, ASA/XJT, RAH all "walked out" in a sense by refusing to subsidize this failed model. We are taking a stand and risking it all. I and many I know assert that if we lose our jobs we will never return to any regional under this current system. That's a lot bigger sack, than risking hamburgers or tacos as a career.

Actually it might be good for regional pilots if the fast food workers prove to be successful in their fight. I'm sure the general public would find it hard to swallow the fact many of the pilots flying them around dark and stormy nights make less than a fast food worker.
Now how do we get the Unions to take out full page ads in the New York times on our behalf?

(as a point of history, the Pan Am pilots pooled their funds into a New York Times ad that acted as a turning point for the airline during a time when the government was content with watching the airline fail)

I think the spine is already there. With xjt, rah, eagle, and I think silver putting their foot down, it's starting to send a message.

Psa...different story

Because you only care just enough to b!tch about things on an Internet forum but not enough to actually do something meaningful about it. Unions keep you inline. If you didn't have a union, you would feel helpless with nothing to lose so you would take more drastic action.

Bottom line? You don't care deep enough to do anything about it.

They're going to get their $15/hour but 1/2 are going to get laid off.

Now granted MAYBE they didn't make the best life decisions in terms of education, I cannot judge for I'm not perfect in life as well.

But hell, how embarrassing is it that Naquasia ( Nack-wasia?) and her co-workers and co-workers around the world can make such noise and be heard, while we ***** and moan on a public forum, our wheels technically spinning in the mud.

Sad really if you ask me.

And what will really be sad, is if they get what they want. Making in some instances less than $5 less than a regional FO on 1st year pay.

Get it together people. Instead of all the negative finger pointing, complaining and moaning, we should take a look at how these food food workers are doing something, because they're actually doing it!

At least they're trying to get things done... But we're happy because we voted no to a few concessions. We still are letting the MEC's and CEO's talk on behalf of the pilot group for us, and we all know that most of what's coming out their mouths isn't the truth for the most part. The PILOTS need to heard.

We can do better than this ladies and gents.

$15.00 for every hour at work is actually a lot more than $20, 21 or 22 a flight hour...

tom11011 05-16-2014 05:48 AM

You really want to make some noise? Go picket with the workers in your pilot uniform. Tell the world you want to make $15/hour too. You'll certainly get the TV time and media interviews. Who would be willing to do it? Or is this all just blowing off steam?

brianb 05-16-2014 05:59 AM

.....and while your at it, stop by the Federal Reserve Building and ask why they keep devaluing our dollar and printing money out of thin air and then charge interest for it and how in Gods name will the national debt ever be paid off. Make sure your wearing your uniform, it lends credence to your effort.
