I did it with 300 hours you can do it with 1500...

I had almost 2000, with 600 hours of freight, so bad habits died harder:D

Study, study, study!

Once you begin Sim training, Chair-fly the profiles over and over (and over).

Forget about the big numbers you're seeing on the PFD and just fly the profiles (speed and rate of climb will initially astound you if you've been a GA-only flyer).

Think ahead. Stay ahead.

Work on this stuff and you'll be fine.

Those two books are excellent. They explain turbine theory, advanced systems, and obscure stuff like reduced takeoff minimums. Make sure you read/brief/fly an approach!

Take a freight dog over CFI any day of the week. Fundamental difference between the 2, freight dogs watch and figure the easiest/best way to operate, CFIs want to show you how good they can do it. The best is watching a CFI dive at 2000 FPM to get to the platform altitude behind a heavy on approach.
