Scenic A/L's in N.Vegas

Does anyone know about the quality of operations at Scenic Airlines or, questions asked on their interview?

thx,
Tom

The head of flight ops seemed like a sarcastic prick when I interviewed. Seems like a great place if you want to fly tourists all over the desert in a plane held together with speed tape, and no AC. :p

IMHO, if you barely meet their mins- just fly another 1-200 hours and get on at XJT or something.

thx 4 the H.O.

I read your reply then applied for XJT. The emails from (I believe) this interviewer were not warm and fuzzy like other company reply emails. I sensed a little attitude, but whatever man. Lalaine doesn't work there anymore. She was cool. I'm 51. I've BTDT with attitudes, not into that anymore. It's everywhere though, I know. I only have 150 multi' that's why...

thx again.

Scenic

I spent almost a year there. I went there with 700 hours to build my muilt time. It's a 121 operation with a good ground school. The Otter is a soild airplane that fly's like a overgrown 182. All in all it's a good place to build some time and leave. Since it's 121, the time looks a little better on a resume then CFI time. I would say go to Vegas and have fun with it, however, with every regional hirring I'm not sure if it's the best move.

Thanks Sir.

there are definately worse places, its a stepping stone for 99% of people there, but at least if your low on time, after finishing your tour of duty of you can pick your regional of choice rather than taking the first offer that comes to you as a CFI.............

Ahh. Makes sense. I'll study religously on for the written (plus get in some FTD time) and see where it goes. Thx man.
