Best Regional at EWR
So, I'm looking to potentially apply to a regional that flies (Jet, not Turbo Prop) out of Newark. Someone recently told me Expressjet is not hiring for the EWR base anymore?
Also looking for one where i'll actually fly a lot on reserve. Thanks |

Did you go to ATP?

It has to be a jet because a prop isn't shiny enough. You can't pick up chicks at the bar when you show them a picture of your dash trash.

Also looking for one where i'll actually fly a lot on reserve. Thanks They aren't hiring for the ERJ period. Why not Endeavor? They are begging for pilots over at their LGA/JFK base, and you'll get a guaranteed job at Delta. lmfao. |

Thanks One of them is this: Don't EVER pick an airline based on the domiciles or where you want to be based, especially in the regional sector. Choose the company that, overall, is the best one for you (and your family, if appropriate). Move if necessary. Commute if you must. But choose based on the whole package, and assume for the sake of discussion that it will be the last job offer you ever get. I'm not saying it will be. But it might be. |

Secondly, if your really serious about EWR, have you looked at CommutAir? I noticed you didn't really answer the question about why it has to be a jet. I know a few people at C5, and it doesn't sound like a bad place to be, especially given the recent upgrades to their contract (with zero concessions by the way). Lastly, if your main criteria for choosing a place to work is based on if you get to fly a jet or not, your probably not going to find much help on these forums. |
