Nah, PDT will get all the flying down the Caribbean. Looks like they are the flavor of the month.

I feel sorry for the Seaborne guys, they shouldn't had grow as fast as they did. I have good friends down in PR.

In light of what is happening at Seaborne and what may happen in the future I say YES!

Should have had one for a long time. They have made some arbitrary pilot action decisions in the past, guys let go, guys (and girls) furloughed out of seniority, upgrading out of seniority, etc. they have never had to consider the pilot group as a bargaining unit of any power. The stuff they do with their pilots would not work at a union shop.

I know of 3 pilots that were 'furloughed' out of seniority, then rather than re-hire them, they just hired new guys to replace them.

There were also 4 pilots hat were fired for various reasons that may have deserved some action but didn't warant firing.

They act only to preserve the managements reputation with each other or the FAA. Never seems to work, though. They put people of limited capability in positions of power, then try to run it from the very top using there yes men to do what ever it takes to get it done. Now, with their financial situation being so dismal and all of the supervisory and management layoffs, I'm afraid that too many corners will be cut by people who don't know any better... At the direction of the top people. Not a good situation.

Yes, unions for pilots and FAs would help.
