Shuttle America

Hi everyone,

I was just offered a November class for Shuttle America, anyone have any insight or advice on the QOL with Shuttle and their operation, i.e reserve times, upgrades, flows, etc? Thank you!

Reference the Republic threads... Same ****, different wrapper.

Qol: living at base will make it tolerable, if not desirable(rsv that is)
90 min call out from INITIAL call.
Upgrades, attrition is healthy, so if hired in Nov, I can see you upgrading c. 2019
No flow to anywhere.

If you decide to come, understand the pay and work rules(or lack there of)
Nothing I hate more than a relatIvely new FO griping about stuff they should've known before signing up.

I am happy here. Am I gonna stay forever? I hope not.
The union sucks.

Less hiring on the shuttle side than republic by far. For the past year, only a class of 6-8 a month at most. Most new hires have been going to EWR since it opened in June '14, but the last couple classes have seen a lot of IND. EWR or LGA, you might hold a line in a couple months if attrition keeps up.

Any base is attainable after a couple months of bidding, with the exception of ORD. Most junior there is 10/13 hire. If the new 175s go to Shuttle, the accepted theory right now is to replace the Q flying in EWR or DEN(or somewhere else "west"). PM if you have any questions and good luck

Also, the new 175s won't be coming until next July. So until then the only movement on the Shuttle side will be for attrition. Attrition is currently about 30/month across all of RAH.
