Quick Q on ATP req's

Hey there,

So when these "new rules" came in regarding 1500 hours etc. am I wrong in recalling they mandated some sort of multi crew course as well?

I'll have 1500 hours very soon, will do the ATP written very soon, but can I then apply or am I missing something?

Cheers

...yea your going to need to get an endorsement to take the written. IIRC this requires a ground school course and some sim time.

You can read this as well. http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/A...ect-Aug-1.aspx

Yep, you have to take the ATP-CTP course BEFORE you can take the ATP written if you didnt take it before Aug 1st 2014. Here it is advertised from ATP flight school ATP Flight School: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Training Program

** note that this whole change is so new Im not sure if anyone is actually authorized to give it yet. See disclaimer on the bottom from ATP.. Just noticed it myself after I orginally posted.

If I'm not mistaken, and I may be, there are only 3 places authorized to give you the signoff to take the written.

Should one just spend the money on the written, or hold out until who knows when, the regionals offer this course.?

Hold off. Regionals no doubt are trying to put this together.
