Default Envoy DFW base for new Hire?

Wondering if any chance that new hires could get DFW base out of training (43 yrs old)? If not, how difficult is it to commute DFW to the Envoy Junior bases (New York and Chicago is what I'm hearing)?

If you're looking for a DFW base, I think Mesa would be the clear choice at this time.

Dude you need to do some home work on Envoy. Things are not too hot over there right now. Are you just looking for a quick local job to get current and move on to the majors?

DFW to ORD is always a hard commute, lots of commuters on that route. I often had to use FedEx to get to ORD from DFW (AFW-ORD direct non-stop) or drive down to ACT to do the ACT-IAH-ORD commute (when United Express flew the route - they don't anymore).

The Envoy New York base is a JFK co-domicile, and there's only one flight between DFW-JFK, the rest are DFW-LGA. so it depends on where your trip starts. It didn't seem too bad when I commuted DFW-LGA. Though EWR was always an backup if I couldn't get to LGA or JFK.

It's a matter of leaving yourself a lot of time for the commute. If you travel up the night before, you can always make it or two-leg the DFW-ORD through XNA, SGF, DSM, TUL, ICT, were a few of my options if I didn't drive south.

Slick I don't see DFW as a domicile for Mesa on the Mesa APC page?

It's opening Nov 1st. The APC info typically lags until someone gets around to updating it. Just an FYI there are rumors Mesa may take a break from hiring after the 1st of the year. I suggest reading through the Mesa thread.
