Looks like expressjet succeeded as first regional to have the ATP Written as part of their ground school.

I am assuming others will follow soon? Any insider knowledge appreciated.

I believe PSA is working on a program for that as well. It's good they are offering this program. A good incentive for the unfortunate who didn't take the old test.

I disagree. Majors really don't care about training, or quality, or pipelines. All they care about it costs. Xjt, and ASA have some of the most highly qualified regional FO's in the industry. Do you think united gives a _____ .... Look at where the planes are going. Majors only care about the bottom line. The problem is that we have become very good at flying planes and very rarely crash compared to the rest of the world. We are just a number in their scheme. It is all a risk model, and that model is telling them to transfer planes to however they can to save a few bucks... To them the chance of lower quality operations is totally worth it.

Do you think delta ever really wanted compass or endeavor flows? Do you think it fits their "culture"? No way, it was just another avenue to squeak out a few extra bucks from cheap labor. Do you seriously think that this program will do xjt any good? Unlikely! what's more likely is that we become the training pipeline for future PSA/TSA new hires... WE train and type and then you leave to a job with an actual potential for advancement. Not being negative, Just being real. Sorry

Our management chose to discontinue non-profitable flying, and did it without furloughs, while positioning us to bid on profitable flying. Sounds like a good job from our management. While the only place I would like to see flying go is to mainline, I think our management made the right choice with these airframes.
