He's right, you'd lose that bet because ALPA didn't walk, the company did.

Little more involved but the effort is worth it:

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons House Seasoning, recipe follows
Eight 4-ounce boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded
1 1/2 cups low-fat buttermilk
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
One 14-ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup sliced Vidalia onion
1/2 cup reduced-fat 1-percent milk
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 green onions, chopped
House Seasoning
1 cup kosher salt
1/4 cup garlic powder
1/4 cup ground black pepper
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

Mix together the flour and 1 teaspoon of the House Seasoning in a small bowl. Sprinkle the chicken with the remaining 1 teaspoon House Seasoning. Pour the buttermilk into a shallow dish. Dredge the chicken in the buttermilk, followed by the flour.

Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of the chicken breasts to the hot oil and cook until both sides are browned, about 3 minutes per side, and then transfer to the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining chicken breasts. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.

Whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup chicken broth until dissolved. Set aside.

To make the gravy , add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the same skillet and heat over medium heat. Add the onions and saute until translucent, about 2 minutes.

Add the remaining chicken broth, scrape the pan drippings with a wooden spoon, raise the heat to medium-high and cook until the mixture begins to bubble, about 2 minutes. Stir in the dissolved cornstarch to incorporate. Bring to a simmer and continue to cook until the mixture thickens, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in the milk and black pepper and continue cooking over medium-high heat until thickened, 5 minutes longer.

Remove the chicken from the oven and top each piece with 4 teaspoons of the gravy. Sprinkle with the chopped green onions.

Mix together the salt, garlic powder and pepper.

Ok then so what did the company or Alpa offered this time that make them walked away? After all, everything is dead now.

Fleet and flow problems...or should I say a lack of flow and fleet in the new proposal.

Well, it looks that the "best" offer sailed away the last time.

Good Luck.

No. he's just trying to stir the pot because he's still there, still senior and STILL wants a third opportunity to vote "yes" on something because "it's good for me". He doesn't care about 12/4, nor the flow, he wants his E-175 and job security to "ride this place to the end" like he said before. Don't fall for his latest ruse. Fact is, if he wasn't at Envoy, he wouldn't be starting threads that stir the pot of blame (because he wouldn't care), nor including little tidbits in virtually every post as reminder's about how he's no longer there.

Pathological liars are easy to spot if you look for the right clues. ;)

Sure thing JJ. Whatever rocks your boat.

lakehouse 11-09-2014 07:00 AM

Al gojet and psa pilots are what you get when you skin your elbow.

What does everyone think about psa allowing themselves to be an alter ego to eagle in theory?....

I always know when your frustration peaks (usually when caught telling fibs)...........that's when the "Joey's" and "JJ's" start flying (attempting to "out" others is a sure sign of desperation).

Pathological liars are also very predictable. ;)

meah 11-09-2014 07:07 AM

Eagle sounds like a great place to work with fantastic morale.

Good luck guys.

Why do you care? I thought you were a GV captain making 250,000 a yr and home evey night? What's any of it mean to you?

buddies8 11-09-2014 09:40 AM

Oh the person who made the announcement is a glass representative. In other words a glass suck up. U hope negotiations stopped. I have a contract and those w Ho want a change can quit and go else where.

chignutsak 11-09-2014 10:32 AM

You do realize the contract you're so proud of is awful right? Eagle went from close to top of the industry to barely average.

X2 majority of the seniority list at eagle would make far more money on PSA or Compass's contract. Eagle has cancellation pay and decent rsv rules (which is important because half the airline are rsv pilots). That's it.

Yes, because thats the only thing envoy has to offer. I wonder if thats the gimmick envoy recruiters are using to attract the 2-3 interviewees.

stanherman 11-09-2014 05:07 PM

GV Captain or Envoy pilot doesn't really matter. Just another aviation nobody.

Should accept reality rather than troll Internet forums spamming nonsense.

So great that they've lost over 3 dozen pilots last week. Eagle will soon have plenty of airplanes to give to PSA and PDT because there will be no one left to fly them.

Envoy is a dying airline. Doug Parker seems bent on shutting it down in favor of outsourcing to a handful of other feeders. He's so 2000 in his thinking American will be back in bankruptcy about 5 years from now.

They can use all the tricks and lies they like, but only the most gullible or desperate pilot would go to Envoy. What pilot wants to work for an airline where they'll be unemployed a year or two from now?

Seniority is everything in this business and smart pilots go to airlines for either experience (building time or fast upgrade) or for a career. Envoy offers nothing but the chance to add a pink slip to your resume after failing a training event.

I do realize my current contract is worse than before, thanks to the spineless balless pilots at eagle/envoy, but I am not willing to give anymore as I did not want to give before. Like I said before even if you give them what they want as we did before they will just come back for more, why because the pilots here would have told them they could. So NO and glass can go jump off a cliff with all his minions.

Just to play Devils advocate here....

Cheaper feed = bankruptcy??

I must have slept through economics class.

To be fair, bankruptcy has nothing to do with how much money they have, as we learned last time when they declared with $6 billion cash and a huge new fleet order. It's just a convenient decadal tool to obtain judicial backing to break all the contractual promises they pretended to make and reward the executives with special bonuses for the idea.

buddies8 11-11-2014 05:35 PM

Very true wareagle.

When that cheaper feed results in no one to fly the aircraft, yes, it could result in bankruptcy. As much as airline managers would like it to be true, airplanes don't fly themselves. Not for several decades at least.

If the problem was across the board in all airlines, then it would be an equal problem that works itself out. What happens to American if Delta finds a way to help their feed maintain solvency and continue to provide service cheaper than mainline?

It would result in a situation where one airline would be able to maintain both premium mainline service and also reasonable feed costs against another airline which cannot feed itself. Those flights to Heathrow, Paris and Shanghai don't fill themselves.
