Posting of Bid Awards

Our company has decided that they don't need to post Final Line Awards anymore. Do any other airlines not publish a Bid Award that shows the flying assigned to each lineholder?

Thanks

This is one of the biggest problems at Skywest. No one even knows how bad they are getting screwed. The lines should always be published no matter how many stalker flight attendants you have! Most airlines run a moch bid before the final so pilots can adjust their bidding preferences, and yet here at the OO offices it takes them 3 days to run the bid.

I know Mesa runs a mock bid prior to the bid period, does anyone know where to look at the results?

Mesa does not run mock bids.

They do publish PBS awards for all pilots.

Endeavor does 2 mock bids then the final.. then 2 hours after the final they say, never mind we didn't like the way that turned out, the real ones will be out 2 days later and be much uglier for most of you...

Oh come on now don’t be a drama queen. This happened 1 time in recent memory.

True, but there are provisions in the contract to take care of something like a cancelled vacancy and the union/company decided to ignore that and in the process screwed over most of the pilot group.

Most airlines do NOT run mock bids for line awards. That said, there are solid reasons for and against posting bids. All companies have a legal obligation to protect individual privacy. When I was at Comair, we had a couple of serious incidents of stalking--to the point where people were showing up at hotels unannounced--and the company eventually made it impossible to look up the lines of other employees on the computer. You could see the original awards, but not any changes.

The union can do the "is it legal" work on the behalf of the employees.
