Why we held the line at XJT
This is part of a letter from the new ExpressJet MEC Chairman. He states what the pilots who voted NO to concessions, knew all along--that agreeing to a poor contract in order to save a company from poor mgmt. does not work.
"Since the JCBA failed to ratify, the company has spent a lot of time, effort, and money improving the operation. This effort has included a new hotel sourcing company, management changes at every level, fundamental changes in how SOC conducts business, and many new operational processes. I can confidently say that voting down that JCBA may well have been the best thing for the way ExpressJet Airlines operates. Without this wake-up call, I don’t believe this company would be performing as well as we are today. " |

Please forward to the SKYW pilots, they think SGU poops golden eggs. We got "new management" but they are doing the same playbook, ergo, business as usual.

Nothing will change until we get "representation" and not the student council. XJT was able to say no. Skywest will say no thanks, but that just means we are willing to go without lube.
