Regionals Hiring With 25ME

Let's say regional A is hiring a pilot with 25ME, allowing him or her to get the other 25ME in a sim. Let's also say the oral is before the sims, therefore they have to fill out IACRA. Wouldn't IACRA kick this due to the candidate not meeting the requirements?

25 ME, whoo doggy. Crazy.

I'm sure the instructor will know to to work it out.

They are permitted to do the oral after the sims.

What if a regional will let someone start ground before they're 21?...how does that work

USAviationRep 11-30-2014 11:59 AM

Legally, they just have to be 21 before the ride (including the oral) starts but the airline might have an additional policy.

I'm in the same situation, I have less than 50 ME hours and will obtain the required hours in the simulator. I was told to leave the ME time blank on the 8710 and when I get to the checkride the DPE can change the time on the 8710 form.

MY sim partner received his ME time in the sim as he was short on time. It is allowed and is being done.

The oral exam can be administered before the aviation experience requirements have been met. The system allows for the oral exam check airman to enter in "future experience" that will be attained between the oral exam in the checkride that will allow the candidate to met all of the requirements at the time of the practical exam.

When I did my ride a couple years ago, I did my oral in the middle of sims (I, however, had already met all the required experience requirements) but the examiner never even looked at my IACRA, actually I don't think I had even filled it out at that point. Then when I did my ride (with a completely different examiner) that was the first time my IACRA was accessed and reviewed...
