Hopefully just a stop gap short term emergency lift bridge. Funding a future 100+ seater operation that will use your money against you in just a few short years is bad business long term. They need any and all lift now though.

I'd be more concerned that Endeavor wasn't going to take delivery of all 81 CRJ900's and these 9 came from that scope limited quantity of 81 aircraft. |

I wouldn't call extending contracts until 2024 an emergency stop gap measure!

When does Gojet's CRJ7 contract expire and how many jets are in service there? timing seems to match up. No?

I'm not sure what that means. Which "Company" is that statement referring to; RAH or Delta? In other words, is RAH going to pull 170's from its AA/US or UAL feed or is Delta gonna pull 170's from another Delta Connection carrier?

How the hell does BB plan on staffing these?
|
Didn't a hub have to close and flying rejected due to a pilot shortage?

RAH will source the aircraft. They will come from our UA/US operation or they will be used from the open market. |

AA has 90 options of 175s that are possibly going to be operated by Envoy - however, as current scope is written, even if AAG wanted to exercise all the options they would be unable to due to the number of large RJs currently being operated. Save for scope language adjustments (not likely), one idea that was thrown around was to reduce the number of 175s currently being flown by RAH - especially given Parker's feelings to BB (the AA 175 deal was done by Horton, prior to the merge). That could free up some airframes to do this deal.

As for the 170s, I believe expiration of the CPA for some of the oldest Mid Atlantic birds will coincide with this Delta agreement. Either BB thinks he can renew them with AA by then, as he did already with DL and UA E170s, or they will simply go into service with DL under this latest agreement with DL. Heck, many of the current DL E170s are ex-Mid Atlantic with "MD" tail numbers too! I don't quite know what to make of your comment about Parker and Bedford. I've only heard they are long-time buddies. We bought Mid-Atlantic from them, bought DCA/LGA slots/gates from them and leased them back to US Airways, and also assumed E190 leases from them when they were trying to reduce the number of that type in the fleet. I just don't anything to characterize their relationship other than good. |
BB and Parker buddies? Hmm I've always thought of Parker as more of a golfing, drinking and driving kinda guy with JO in the passenger seat.
Meanwhile BB is with his 20 kids at Thursday night mass. God Bless, |

Well, I am gonna pop some popcorn because this is gonna be good. I mean how in the hell are they going to get any new hires?
|
Sounds like they will just park the Qs and/ or the145s early. I'm hearing this is not necessarily a good thing, because it will not be true upgrades anyways. They will just use displaced Q and 145 captains to staff the left seat. BB will just offer a 20k bonus if he needs to attract more new hires. Maybe for 20k they won't need 100 hours of IOE

ONE plane is getting parked due to the lower demand season (Jan/Feb), like the lighter schedule every other air carrier out there has this time of year. A good number of the 'parked' 145s have been brought OUT of the desert, now THATS a fact. |

This is why I read these boards, for laughs like this......A good number of the 'parked' 145s have been brought OUT of the desert, now THATS a fact.
If so, that, by no stretch of the imagination means that the 145s are long for this world, in fact, the company's lack of investment in MX required to keep them flying would be a strong indication that RJET's 145 are going the way of the Dodo, and possibly faster than previously stated. Your condescension may very well be misplaced if this is, in fact, the case. Perhaps a tad more respect can be shown in the future? |

Aren't they only doing that to replace aircraft that are up against heavy checks with ones that aren't?

For example, there is a school house rumor that Bedford believes he will be able to staff ADDITIONAL 145 flying once a TA is reached..........so just because this is being passed around should we sound the alarm that upgrades are going to fall to under 2 years at RAH with all this new flying? No, of course not. It's just as silly as saying the 145 is done because there is one less aircraft line in Jan. |

That's my point. The only thing that's KNOWN is planes are being pulled from the desert, any reason for it is purely speculation. (or in this case rumor) You "COULD" be correct, and I won't even bet against you. This is about taking one piece of info and running wild with it, all chickenlittle style.

The problem is that a TA won't turn the place around....and neither will this "shiny beads and shallow flattery" method of culture change. |
