Default Delta Cuts MEM Flights Citing Pilot Shortage

Delta said it will discontinue ORD flights citing a pilot shortage. They went on to say there were more cuts to come.

Delta is going to be cutting its nonstops from MEM to ORD/RDU/IND with MCO dropping to once per week. This will leave them with daily service to ATL, MSP, DTW, CVG, LGA, LAX. Seasonal nonstops to LAS/SLC/CUN remain.

Ha! Should be renamed "Delta Cuts MEM Flights Citing 9E Shortage" as ORD/RDU/IND are mostly done by us!

A pilot shortage of whose pilots? Delta's pilots? Nope. Smoke and mirrors. Better get the public whipped up in a panic to repeal the ATP and implement the Muti Crew License..

"parker emulates Anderson so I would expect the same from American". And why would AA follow suit? They can staff their regionals. At least for the short term.

More cuts: Is Memphis now just another city for Delta?

This sucks, Memphis has on several occasions been the last viable option when you need more then just a jumpseat.

Memphis has been on the chopping block from the day the DAL/NWA merger was announced. Delta walked away before and they are doing so again.

Well you would never want to run a mainline aircraft on a flight between such small cities.
