Not sure. I was told by HR before I interviewd that I did not have to have the ATP written in order to interview. After I interview and got the call offering me a class date, HR reminded me that I had to have it done prior to attending class. I have heard the same form thers. If you have a class date, get it done.

Bassslayer, how was the interview? I got an e-mail Sunday that I have been chosen for an interview and wanted to see how yours went. Got the study guide from pilot gouge and am studying away. Good luck to you and everyone else.

Interview was not a big deal.

Just know why you want to work for Comair, what is important for you (I had to explain why I had a 73 type and was not @ SWA (about 200 FW PIC hours short)) at a job and be able to talk flying and CRM (and I had previously talked to my interview Capt at an AIR, Inc. conference!). Have fun with the Cog test...it's just a game.

Remember to ask (thoughtful and relevant) questions!! I asked about the contract negotiations and what they expected of the future - but that was a pretty ballsy move. It worked, I got offered a job.

Good Luck!

Whats the big deal? Just go take the darn thing! You're going to need it eventually in order to upgrade and once you are at a 121 carrier it will never expire. All it takes is an hour or 2 a night for a week while you're watching TV and then go take it. Anything over a 70 is just showing off:D

I purchased the King Schools Computer Based ATP Course off of EBay before my interview with SKW (seeing they gave you a 50 Q ATP test in the interview), it cost $200. I completed the course in less than 2 days, took the test on the 3rd and received a 98. I then sold it on EBay for $177. So, I paid $200 -$177 (when I sold it) = $23 + $80 (to take the test) = $103 (total cost) for my 98. I fly for SKW so my test will not expire.

Looking back I could have passed the test without the KS Course, but for $23 it was WELL WORTH IT!
