Default Flica Schedule/Hotel App for Android

Hey guys,

I'm posting this here as it pertains mainly to regional pilots (if it belongs somewhere else, I apologize). I work for Republic and several months ago, I started developing an app called Flight Crew View. I personally switched (finally) from iPhone to Android and while I love it, I couldn't believe that Flica hasn't created an app for Android users to download and store their schedules (similar to the iPhone app). So I created one.

Along with one touch refresh of your schedule and one touch hotel calling, the app also contains hotel information such as fridge, microwave, free breakfast, local restaurants/bars/attractions and I have more ideas in the works.

Anyway, it is up and running and has over 2000 users from 17 airlines who are very happy with it, getting 4.8 stars in the Play Store. If you work for one of the following airlines and have an Android phone (currently doesn't support tablets, sorry), then this app is for you:

AirTran Airways
Chautauqua Airlines
Compass Airlines
Endeavor Airlines
Frontier Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines
GoJet Airlines
JetBlue
Mesa Airlines
PSA Airlines
Republic Airlines
Shuttle America Airlines
Silver Airways
Spirit Airlines
Trans States
Virgin America
WestJet

It is the first search result in the Play Store for flica or it can be found here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....robert.fcView

I don't really have much of an outlet to get feedback from the users of this app, so if you have any issues or ideas on what could make it even better, let me know!

Wow thanks so much for this! Any way to implement tail numbers and crew members on the leg?

I'm an iPhone user, but had seen this app written up somewhere and recommended it to a Captain I was flying with. He got it and loved it, when he showed it to me, I wanted it too. Can you port it over to the iPhone? I think the sales might make it worth your while... it's head and shoulders above that FLiCA app now for the iPhone and the hotel feature...worth the price of admission alone.

In the latest update, tail numbers (and in some cases, the equipment type) are listed below the Flight number and then the crew members (at least what Flica shows) can be found by clicking on the link at the top right hand side of the screen. The crew members only shows those on the same pairing as that is all that Flica shows.

IPhone is a completely different animal. Apps don't exactly port very well across the two formats. It is something that has definitely been asked of me a number of times, but since Flica already has an app, I have left that alone. I might still attempt something once the dust settles on the Android app, though.

I have to reacquaint myself with a programming language that I haven't used in quite a while, but it might be worth it.

I'll keep you guys posted if I attempt something.

I've also had a couple Jazz users as well as a single Air Wisconsin user. Do they use Flica for schedules as well?
