I dont know much about the contractual relationship between XJT and CAL, and I was wondering how much longer was left on the contract for XJT planes (minus the 69 CAL has already decided to dump over the next few years). Basically when is the next chance CAL will have the opportunity to dump additional XJT flying.

i don't think cal will let go anymore planes, word on the street is they feel they made a mistake.

CLE base is bad and it seems like it is getting worse. It sucks basically. For example I know a 6th yr CA that does IOE and only holds 12-13 days off. If he were IAH or EWR based he would have 18 days off. He can't move b/c his wifes job. Chataqueae (I'm not going to even try to spell it or look it up) is going to do alot of flying there too so CLE is just going to get worse. The only way I would make CLE my base is if I lived there and just sat reserve and wouldn't make much money b/c your only get your 75 hours b/c I hear reserves there don't get much use. I'm sure someone will tell you more, but thats it in a nutshell. Whatever someone else says, I not B.S ing you that what its like

CLE is shrinking. CAL cant pull more planes till the end of 2008 if they decide to do so they have to give a 1 year notice so would know at the end of 2007. Might happen Might not. Who knows.

Not really rumors in my previous post. i just try and stay informed so i can make good decisions with my career. It is your career, so you can stick your head in the sand and not pay attention or you can stay up to speed with things. Alot of these "rumors" have a very big impact on your career. Dont believe everything but keep your eyes open.

Come across Gay!!:D A little but i get your point. Cya around

I'm informed and I know how to make good career decisions, for one would be leave a regional as soon as possible. Example: When I got hired here Comair was the place to be, look at it now. Express could be the same. It could be next year or in 3 but it will happen. We are already fighting. I just hope you don't have your career path set with Express. Get your PIC and get out as soon as you can. Still who is the man with all the knowledge and behind the suit.

Yeah my goal is to get in and get out. actually have my app in at a couple places right now. i like it here but long term career goals aren't here for me anyway. also i am not the one with lots of knowledge just a regular guy with educated observations. plus i cant tell you who i am, that would be like a chick dropping her panties on the first date! doesn't leave much for the imagination!:D
