No Summer Pick Up Pledge.
 

It's been suggested that this summer will see a relatively high number of cancelled flights, at the regional level, due to "crew availability".

May I suggest that we (legally) do our part to (1) put pressure on regionals to increase pay and benefits and (2) encourage mainline(s) to take-back the regional flying by pledging to NOT PICK UP OPEN TIME FLYING THIS SUMMER.

I don't think it can be considered an illegal work action (under the RLA) to not pick up open time or to ignore crew scheduling's phone calls during our days-off.

To that end,..... I pledge to not pick up any open time from Memorial Day through Labor Day, (the summer flying season).

I hope you'll join me?
