Will regionals count sim hours toward multi total?

Weird question but I have 80 hours total multi with no options in site yet but I do have 26 hours of level C King Air sim time. What do you think the airline would think of that. I've said over an over that I have no desire to go to the regionals but the option looks better at other airlines not in my area...ahem...American Eagle.

Also, did you guys ever attend a job fair and get hired? There is a fair coming up at DFW January 27 and I'm thinking of going.

Thanks in advance.

Sim time is NOT multi-engine aircraft time.

and can not be counted in your total time either

I knew that you couldn't count it towards multi total but I was wondering if an airline might be like, hey this guy knows all the systems of a King Air plus has 30 hours of training in it...should we take him? Or is that a bunch of horsepuckey?

I got my current job due in part to 400+ hours of 727 Level C/D sim experience, more than half of which was in a major 121 training department.

What documented simulator training does show is experience in turbine aircraft and high altitude/high performance operations...and that with your complex systems knowledge and simulator experience your risk as a newhire completing training would be slim to none. That is the angle you take when asked on it...you are completely confident you will complete training based upon your past experience! It won't get you hired at places with very hard TT minimums but it will get you hired at other operators.

Its like the old saying about having 1500 hours or 1 hour logged 1500 times.

That sounds good to me. I'll attend the seminar and see what happens. Maybe I'll get a flight in before then to get me closer to the multi total. I figured if I took that angle, it'd help.
