Commuting Parking?

Hey all. Just hoping for some advice or tech's for parking for commuters. I'll be living in LIT (parking about $8/day) and commuting to ORD. Do the airlines have their own lots or do they cover parking expenses? Any recommendations on how to
Minimize parking costs? No, I don't have wife to drop me off.

Thanks!!

See if any of the lots have a crew rate. I pay $3 a day for uncovered parking out of PHX. Airlines typically only have their own lots or offer parking passes in hub cities/crew bases.

Some carriers will reimburse for employee parking up to what it would cost them in your domicile - depends on company policy, your contract and most importantly, if there is employee/crew parking available at your "home" airport.

Check with the airport parking authority or other lots around the airport...they usually have commuter rates like monthly or quarterly. Check with your airline, too. Some won't pay for parking passes outside of your domicile, but it depends on your contract.

You should be able to get an employee pass, it's what I did at all the airports I commuted into/out of (IND/LAX/OAK). Contact the parking authority and see what a monthly pass costs. Depending on how long you are gone, it may make sense to pay daily rather than a monthly/quarterly pass.

Also, at my airline, since employee passes are free at ORD, we are not reimbursed for parking (it is capped to the maximum parking rate at your domicile, if that makes sense.)

I'm at the parking spot 2. What the heck? How is it 3 a day when it's normally 13 or so. Do you have to show ID each time?

Nope, they gave me a card and I linked it to my credit card. It used to be a flat 50/month and then got a letter saying they were switching to this card/$3 a day. Just went in the office and picked it up

They will pay for parking in your domicile only. If you commute parking expenses are on you.
