Comair Rumor?
 

Anyone hear anything about Comair possibly giving 12/24hr flight notices to their reserve pilots so they can commute?

No rumor. Just part of the new contract. In my opinion it's the only thing worth a damn. I'd just assume use the rest to wipe my, well, you know. But it doesn't have any aloe lotion, so there we are.

Long call, short call as I believe it is called allows for a certain percentage of reserves to be on an extended call-out (24 and 12 hour) as compared to regular reserve. Some airlines use this and it seems to me that it makes reserve life slightly more tolerable.
