Any rumors on Compass
Anyone got anythig on them? Start up date, delivery of first E-175, shut down date.... anything??

Certificate approval still pending (last I heard it would be February sometime.) They are planning on attending AIR-INC in DFW. First delivery is only dated as 2nd quarter, 2007.
A lot can happen between now and then. 600+ NWA mainline pilots still on furlough that have first option to those jobs. How NWA intends to handle the 76 jet regional flying is still subject to speculation based on the new acquisition of Mesaba which has yet to be approved by both bankruptcy courts. Mesaba is attending AIR-INC as well, yet we have 220 on furlough and no new aircraft. Go figure. Stay tuned is the best anyone can probably offer right now on this subject. |

I've heard they plan on ex-indy guys...good luck finding them. I'm sure they're waiting on pins and needles for that compass call

The guy at Air Inc said if you have 2500TT, you are eligible for the left seat. I was standing at the back of the group circled around the guy giving the talk and did not stay too long and may have misheard. Looking to hire 350 people. Upgrades possible within a year for right seat, maybe first 100 new hire FOs. Hiring in May. Flying to begin in August. Base is Mini.-St.Paul. Preferential hiring to NWA, 1 out of 2 that are qualifed. If anyone knows that I have confused Compass with Skybus, feel free to correct me.

Any more updates?
I haven't heard anything about Compass in a while. Have we heard the last of this until later this year or does anyone have anymore updated information. Have they interviewed any ppl. Are they still training people in the Sims?
