Ha! What?????? Paaallllllllllllleeeeeeaaaazzzzzeeeeeee don't give anyone this advice. They won't be your friend anymore when they are there 4 years from now still on reserve. The next 5 years in this industry looks much better than the last decade, but don't try and sell that one - IMO :D.

Smart a$$ much?

This is the kind of bulltsh!t that goes on at this site that really makes it mostly a comedy show. A bit irritating when you're looking for relevant info, but at least you also learn where you can find an ok laugh at the same time. Intentional humor is just funny, but when a guy says something like this that you know he really means, well, it's still funny but it's also tragic at the same time.

AC, not that I expect you to care, you usually make some pretty good points but also it's obvious you're more than a little bitter. Then this^ happened. LOL Tragicomedy! So you got a little BS in you too!

No "cheerleading" or "celebrating" here. Reread my post; I offered facts only. Stop talking sh!t anonymously!

Guys, if you don't give a sh!t about your workplace then QUIT! Why sh!t on one of your own paychecks? If you don't respect your workplace, then how can you respect yourself for working there? Don't respect yourself? Either get a grip, go get some counseling so you can, or again, simply QUIT! Just walk the fu(k away and go do something better for yourself!

Some people are missing this. Lots of ERJ info being offered that is probably accurate but not relevant to CRJ reserve time.

Also, perhaps I should have clearly said I'm CR7 ATL instead of assuming it was obvious. My apologies.

This again? Let me say it differently so hopefully everybody will understand:

Me fly CRJ 7/9. Me info relevant because me fly CRJ and OP requested CRJ specific info. Me hired 1 year 8 months ago. Me holding line for last 2 months. Me was on reserve for 1 year 6 months. Ooogah ooogah, durr...

IceManCRJ 08-14-2015 03:24 PM

Wouldn't think anybody would go to an airline that the talking points are:
1. 18 months FO reserve.
2. 300 dollars a week during training, no per diem.
LMAO

Well congrats on the line however I am an 11/12 hire and was on reserve last month on the CRJ ATL 7/9 (mostly due to AQP and a high threshold). How about a little humility and realize people not even that far from you seniority wise have had a little different experience? I don't know what is worse people whining or a guy with a fresh line telling unhappy people to quit.

What about the guys around the same hire date on the -200 in ATL? Reserve as well?

(some nut from a few pages back posted that 3 year crap) Either they don't work here and are just parroting what they "heard", are completely disconnected from the truth of reserve time on the FO side, and/or are simply badmouthing the place in attempt to hurt the company. My opinon? Please just shut up and go away. I've been here 1 year and 8 months. Been holding a line for the past 2 months. Simple math says a new hire FO will be on reserve for about 1 year and 6 months.

CA reserve time is basically endless, for now at least. However the subject here is clearly not CA side reserve. It's FO reserve.

SO, reserve time? Not endless and not 3+ years. Longer than some other regionals? Yes. Better place to be than some other regionals? Yes. My seniority number has changed by over 40 numbers over the past 2 months, so obviously something is happening. Judging by the fact that all of those that left were captains and senior FO's, I'd call that "something" good. Also, hiring has picked up pretty good. Are some of you going to continue to be disrespectful towards our new hires and keep implying/calling them stupid, ignorant, and the like? Get a d@mn life and find something less immature to do like help get the door closed on time.

Broken promises? Big deal. ALL the airlines break promises. Standard operating procedure. Stop whining and get over it.

To SilentB25, welcome, welcome, welcome! I and I'm sure many others are happy you chose Expressjet. I'm also sure you made a very good decision -for yourself-!

You must not have been there for the 500 planes, 50 states or the EFBs in spring or the vote on "industry leading" contract, et cetera. Enjoy that sinking ship you're on, little boy.

18 months of reserve as an FO???? Damn there's Regionals with 15 month or less upgrades. Hopefully it changes!

SiShane 08-14-2015 07:23 PM

Love how the people chest thumping about these fast upgrade places forget their "fast upgrade" depends on a steady flow of new hires which seem to be in short supply. Meanwhile you have to endure the industry's crappiest contracts while waiting for said "fast upgrades". I will admit we are seeing some dark times here at Xjt mainly due to the fact we stood our ground and didn't cave into concessions like so many of our fellow pilot groups at other places did. But I am proud of our pilot group for that. Nobody can predict the future but this isn't a bad place to build some 121 time and work with a good group of guys and gals. Training department is top notch by our in house experienced instructors. With that being said welcome! Been here 3 years on CRJ side and I can't really complain about anything major. New flying will come and upgrades will drop significantly once we get through the glut of '07 hires. Cya on the line!

Thanks! I am a very humble person, and I do realize differing experiences. I simply said that I was tired of the misinformation people keep dribbling out the side of their mouths on this site. I don't see how calling out and correcting bad information could seem arrogant. Also, whining is WAY worse. Having a "fresh line", rotten line, new here, old here, whatever, has NOTHING to do with basic job logic so don't come with that. Is it not logical, that if you don't like what you are doing and don't -have- to do it, you simply stop doing it, aka. QUIT, and do something you like better? Is it not irritating to get bad service somewhere just because the employee is unhappy? What's one of the first things that comes to mind when that happens? "Why are they even here" maybe? If you're going to do the job, do it right or don't do it at all. Why screw over the people who need the services you provide just because you're unhappy?

Wait, I forgot. That's one of the reasons this site exists isn't it? A place for unhappy employees to vent off b!tching and complaining anonymously. Oops. Not trying to fu(k that up.

Hmm...well since this thread has gone completely off topic and most likely never to return, how bout' we go for the lock on this one (or me getting banned I really don't care; the mods seem to allow these cowardly personal attacks to go on around here completely unchecked; I'm curious how they'll respond to this check). You know EXACTLY how long I've been at this airline. Apparently illiteracy is among the number of issues you obviously have. You are yet another one of the immature, sad, coward a$$ mf's that have to make anonymous personal attacks since you clearly lack the courage to do it to anyone in person because you KNOW you couldn't fully stave off the physical and/or situational a$$ whipping you'd receive due to you running your fu(king mouth. Believe me, you'll feel a LOT more confident if you get some actual balls rather than faking them over the internet, furthermore, you would lack the need to do immature sh!t like that in the first god d@mn place. Stop talking sh!t anonymously. Did you get whiplash from an uppercut you received from having to learn about your mouth the hard way? Did that scare you from standing up for yourself in real life anymore? Grow up and act like an adult rather than some fu(king kid. I'm glad you're either gone or never worked here at all. One less PITA to deal with. I hope I never work with you. However, if I do, I'm sure I'll be able to tell it might be you because you're very likely the type that will say not ONE WORD past what the FOM and OM require you to, and if you do, it's probably the most vile, distasteful, and repulsive banter that ensures you top the "avoid like he!!" list everywhere you go. Enjoy that throbbing (o(k you're sitting on, eunuch.

Which one of you immature cowards on here is gonna be first to personally attack this individual for telling the truth and being positive?
