Where to go

Hi All-

I have interviews with the following airlines in September. I have to have a base at ORD and looking for a decent QOL.

Republic
TSA
SkyWest
Envoy
ExpressJet

Which of the above has the easiest interview, QOL and ORD as a base? Please put in order.

Thanks

Easiest interview really isn't the criteria that should be sought after. Whatever airline you choose, prepare for the interview. IMO, QOL and Pay should be at the top.

With that being said, SkyWest.

Skywest would be your best bet, I think. Followed by envoy. I'd stay far from republic.

Easiest interview? They're all easy if you go prepared. Don't base what company you apply to based on the interview process.

knobcrk 08-20-2015 10:38 AM

The ord base for Tsa is very small, senior, and stagnant. I'd go elsewhere if you want the ord base.

EvilMonkey 08-20-2015 10:46 AM

You're ranking them by how "easy" the interview is? Seriously?

Coneydog 08-20-2015 10:48 AM

Easiest interview? That's your leading question? Find a different occupation

NovemberBravo 08-20-2015 10:58 AM

You should really look into GoJet 6 month upgrade.

Riverside 08-20-2015 11:00 AM

Surprised you didn't ask which airlines has the easiest flight attendants.

How can ANYONE say no after reading that? Please come to Expressjet so you can push me closer to upgrade! :)

Squallrider 08-20-2015 11:30 AM

Easiest interview? Just the kind of confidence and character I want to fly my family around

RJ Pilot 08-20-2015 11:48 AM

Interview? There is not such thing as an interview at the regionals now a days. Just pick the phone and call the one you want to work for and boom...You are hired!

Pick the one with the fastest upgrade out there!

Good Luck!

SkyWest. Most stable ORD base airline. XJT is shrinking and closing DEN. Who knows if ORD is next.. ORD is SkyWest largest domicile and one of the most JR.. For both captains and FO's

This. You're the perfect candidate, OP.

Or try Mesa. They've ALWAYS had an easy interview and now they have shiny jets and quick upgrades.

Don't waste your time with SkyWest. All that effort you'd have to put in totally isn't worth it.

Really. You're going to SELL SkyWest to a guy that wants the easiest interview.

You want a easy interview? Good luck on that ATP ride then lol.

ATP via AQP is a joke of a check ride.

Really? I hope you're being sarcastic. I don't have a ton of interview experience, but I found it to be somewhat challenging. That being said, the gouges were spot on and helped tremendously. It was far from a meet and greet. Now Republic's on the other hand, they didn't ask one technical question.

Wait, he might just take you seriously! To the OP, do your homework on each company. However, if you notice, there is an echo of the same answer to your question.

dynomonkey 08-20-2015 04:07 PM

Easiest interview? He won't make it through training at Envoy!

hijo 08-20-2015 04:15 PM

From the rumors on the interwebs it sound like RAH might be worth seriously considering. I hear their TA is starting $40/hr FO pay. Shoot it took me 6 years to make that. $40/hr is a livable wage for first year pay.

Yeah what this guy said. Dont wast your time nor the folks at Skywest. Far too much effort to put in..may one suggest Mesa, providing you have a phone. If so then you are hired. Anyways good luck

That's a sorry post. It's not about SkyWest's interview process. It's about the OP's laziness.

Any of them. Unmarried (and a tons of married) FA's are some of the easiest women on the entire face of the planet. They are 100% about "adventure".

It's going to get voted down. Don't worry.

Yes! GoJet. 10k signing bonus. Ord base. 900s. Upgrade in two days! Skype interview!!

Can it get Any easier or better than that?! I doubt it!!

SMACFUM 08-21-2015 07:03 AM

God can we please stop these "which regional should I choose?" Threads. I mean there is a new one like every day now. Common, enough already.....

Or he could go to compass and upgrade before you do.

Interviewer: "Why do you want to fly for XYZ airline?"

Indecisive forum trolling pilot: "Because this is where the pilots on APC told me I should fly".

I'm hungry. I think I'll start a "What should I have for dinner tonight?" thread.

Perfect. You deserve a pilot like the OP. He should be a Captain ASAP!

vagabond 08-21-2015 04:35 PM

Mod Note:

Looks like the OP got an earful from everyone and has decided to cast his lot over at SkyWest.

He was rather naïve (easy interviews) and you guys were a little tough on him.

In any event, my radar is detecting decreasing intelligence in this thread, so time for it to go.
