Slightly off the shirt topic but speaking of A Cut Above, has anyone tried the pants they make lately? I tried a pair a year or two ago and the bottom of the leg by the ankle was very narrow. Just curious if this has been corrected. I love their shirts and Id like to give the pants another shot.
As to the fit, there is a reason I only wear their pants: they fit. Specifically, the bottoms don't parachute over my shoe and they aren't baggy making me look like a rapper circa 1990.
Remember, most Americans are wearing their pants all wrong. Look around at all the "men" in mom jeans. We really need to go more Euro when it comes to this. Pant bottoms are supposed to "break" at the top of your foot/ankle...not the side of your foot. Around the back, it's supposed to contour your derrière and not droop down making you look like you pooped your pants.
And the pant leg itself is supposed to come straight down around your leg. None of this loose, baggy crap. You aren't 15 anymore. It's never to late to start dressing more dapper and look like a gentleman.

I'm a fan of the acutabove shirts. Pilot shirt and pilot uniform manufacturer, buy direct.
The fitted tropo fits well on me and I'm a skinny guy 5'10" 140lbs. Also, they're wrinkle-free so you never have to iron them. Throw in your bag and pull them out they're ready to wear.

I've never once ironed my Fitted Tropos from A Cut Above. They work like a charm. I'll never buy another brand.
That said, I do hang them up every night. As long as I don't spill something on them, one shirt will last a 4-day trip. (Make that a 2-day trip if it's a bunch of sweatyy summertime hub turns in a -200)...

I'm reviving this thread since it has been 4 years since the last post, and products are evolving.
I just got A Cut Above (I prefer long sleeve). Not impressed. The sleeves are huge, as in puffy. It just isn't cut well.
I'll pay more for a nicer shirt. I'd like one that has the eyelets for the pilot wings.
Any suggestions?

cut above quality has tanked within the last year unfortunately. some pilot started https://jetseam.com/ but I havent tried them yet myself. Might buy one to see how I like it. Cut Above used to be great, but the last batch of shirts came all sorts of screwed up and Made in China, vs older ones were Vietnam which I found to still be of decent quality.
