Mailings from Regionals
 

So, I received some fancy postcards from a carrier offering a $50 gift card if I interview to fly a particular type of aircraft for them. While this sounds *really* appealing, I'm thinking of finally taking a different carrier up on their free lanyard offer from a few months back.

Question for the room - what's the overall sentiment regarding these mailings? Do you like them? Personally, I think they're all propaganda and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Rubbish. Almost as bad as all the ads you get from Cirrus, AOPA etc. as soon as you get your PPL... I just made my address private on the airman registry, stopped getting aviation junk mails about a year ago.

Pretty much along the lines of the arab prince that wants to wire your 160k inheritance, all you have to do is send 2k and your first born as a "processing fee"in order to release the funds

I find it humorous, and it was really fun to make fun of the company sending out the $50 gift card invitation, and then I remembered I worked at the free lanyard company.

Ha ha...that is funny. Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way about the mailings. I can't say I've seen one that made me stop and give it a second look. My wife did ask about the most recent one...she reminded me that the holidays are upon us. That $50 gift card could come in handy...

Only mailer i get is from expressjet like every other month

I got one from Endeavor...found it funny because I left there almost 5 years ago.

Just got back from my mailbox and I actually got two cards. Can I interview twice and get $100 in Amazon gift cards? A prompt response would be appreciated, I don't have prime and need to beat the shipping deadlines if I am to use Amazon for my Christmas shopping.

Dang. That's why I didn't get my free lanyard. :mad:
