Imo crj/erj
Hello all, so recently I interviewed with a company, like many other who are offering a seat in either the CRJ or ERJ class coming up, I want some IMO on the airplane and if you were to switch why? Also I am 6'2" and from what I've heard the ERJ might be a tight fit??? What about the little things, storage in the cockpit for etc... Ease of, if I need to use the head, like I said the small things that make the difference of annoying or not
With that being said I know there are servers posts titled ERJ vs CRJ but I do not feel like they cover the small details And I know someone is gonna get on here and be smart ass with a "well what does it matter because...." Save it Have a good day and thanks 👍🏻👍🏻 |
I would be worried about pay and QOL. Which airplane is going to give you the shortest reserve time? . There's a couple of handles that can adjust your seat and rudder pedals so that solves that issue. As far as storage for bags I fly the Crj-200 and we just store our bags in the last bin. I think some operators may closets. I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor unless your carrying something super sensitive around in your bag.

Not sure about the CRJ, but the ERJ has a seat that slides sideways to get in. The foot pedals and height are electrically adjusted. I think it is tight getting in, but comfortable once you are in place. I am 5'11". Luggage goes in the closet outside the flight deck

They are regional jets, they are both tight fit. Go for the base and qol. I didn't know having a bathroom is such a big importance.

I would think that some one who weighed 450lbs and was 6ft 6 could comfortably fit in the CRJ cockpit.

In priority order:
1. The one that will get you based with a drive to work. If you are considering a large CRJ/ERJ operator HQ'd in Utah, all ERJ bases are CRJ bases, so that one is a wash. 2. The most junior of the two aircraft. Anything else is far, far below these two factors. Avionics, bag storage, seat comfort, lavs, slight differences in pay rate, any of that junk: Is just junk. Seniority is in your seat everything. |
I have flown erj 145 and CRJ 700. Honestly from a cockpit comfort stand point the 145 was better. The seat goes back further and can recline while all the way back. Also the seat slides to the side to get in and out.
