Yes sir! I got out of town a few days ago to SXM just before. Heading back home on Spirit now. Love those guys. Cannot say enough about em. Damn near every airline requires a ZED Fare Intl unless I'm listed as an R2 on AA (only because we sorta work for them). Obviously coming home on AA is NOT happening.

To be honest it's really stupid non rev Intl travel between US Airlines (who all participate in CASS/reciprocal agreements etc) is such a pain in the ass. Thank god for Spirit. Logged in said I was jumpseating, paid my taxes and was done. Showed up to
the counter and had my ticket (seat already assigned) and bag checked in less than 5 minutes.

Not to hijack the thread, but can anyone explain this crap? Tried to get to SXM originally on Delta, but couldn't without a ZFare. Spirit obviously could care less (kudos) and maybe there are others, but why is it such a pain to catch rides on US Airlines Internationally? Thanks

Would've been funnier if you had thrown a question mark in there.

I wasn't too happy about leaving that 75 degree weather to head to work in Detroit today either. It's good to see most regionals offering their guys hotels in base though.

MWAA is saying DCA and IAD no operations tomorrow, Sunday the 24th now. TAFs look a bit improved from earlier though. Pix from home, out towards IAD, show about two feet of the white stuff around the house, and I'm sitting in the South with a plane waiting to get it back to DCA at some point.

Update: Weather Channel just said 28.3" at IAD so far. At least it's the dryer light snow unlike what New England is getting which is the wet heavy nasty stuff.

I figured I would get stuck on a long weekend, so my wife joined me on the overnight (which has turned into 3 overnights). We rented a car and are having a good time exploring a part of the country that is snow free.

The good part is Junior Man Pay for 3 days so far!

Amtrack. Wider seats, better pitch. But don't count on the usual speed from Acela.
