XJT Class Dates / Upgrade times

Would anyone from XJT be kind enough to post the class start dates for February and March?

Thanks for the info!

I dont know but you guys better hurry cause with Colgan flying out of EWR don't know how much flying we are going to have left, upgrade might take a long long time too :(

Saab, for one time I couldn't agree more with you!

I honestly cannot understand how anyone could expect the upgrade to take only 2 years for someone who was to get hired today. It's true that attrition is pretty strong right now, but how long will it last?

The bottom line is that it's impossible to predict what's going to happen in the next 2-4 years. If the branded flying picks up really well I'm sure the company would expand that operation and that might speed up upgrades.
However, considering the MASSIVE hiring they did in the past 2 years, someone joining XJT today would be at the bottom of a VERY long seniority list.

Having said that, here's my reasoning. If the guys who got hired 2.5 years ago are getting their upgrade around now, it's because of the extremely favorable conditions that preveiled in the past 2.5 years. (some expansion, lots of hiring, lots of attrition, not very long seniority list)
Do you guys honestly see the next 2 years as bright as the last 2 ?

I hope so, but I think it would be a little optimistic.

BTW, I'm still looking for those Feb/Mar class start dates if anyone has them :)

Great news for those working at XJT about new routes and expansion. I agree the upgrade at XJT will probably increase to 3-4 years over time as the attrition slows. But after reading todays news that the airline is placing all 44aircraft (currently not spoken for) on new routes. This should help those on the bottom of the senority to keep moving up.

Well if this branded flying works out:confused: ................Also Attrition is only going to pickup guys!. CAL is going to continue to hire, and the other airlines are starting to pick up hiring, I wouldn't be worried about upgrade, I would be worried about COlGAN taking away our flying, LARRY taking away another 25% of our flying in 09, then getting furloughed :(

In my opinion, attrition wont slow down unless something crazy happens. With the other majors starting to come online with hiring and CAL still hiring in waves, attrition will continue. We have tons of guys moving on to SWA,JBLUE, Airtran, Emirates, some to alaska, etc as DAL, UAL, start hiring add those int to it also. We will see but that what i think .

Something crazy may be about to happen!!! The AGE 65 change will change the face of all airlines when that happens. Not to be negative, but I thought it had to be said. The short term outlook is still very positive, but the longer term is more questionable in my opinion.

"And there's no shortage of that, here at Continental...." God, that Kellner guy makes me sick. Who knows, maybe Pinchanickel and Colgan will fold before that. Kellner and Trenary can have a funfilled circle-jerk session while they screw even more regional guys.

I know Feb. 19th is one. I know this because I get to give my best friend crap for not holding out for RAH...

I feel like I should put a disclaimer on here about the fact that I like XJT, have several friends that work for XJT, and wish nothing but the best of luck to XJT so an over-eager XJT guy (yea I'm lookin' at you SAAB) doesn't jump down my throat for even acknowledging the existence of another regional...especially RAH ;)
