Windshear event I think.

It probably happens once every few months. Some bored reporter decided to make news of it.

Ha really? This is what bothers you? It wasn't searched before posting. What about the threads started daily titled "Which regional would you go to?"

I prefer the "What's the most junior/senior" thread that pops up every other day.

What regional should I go to? I live in LA but enjoy the idea of commuting because I can see more of the country that way. I would like a regional with a junior EWR/JFK/LGA base and I only want to fly the 175. I also don't want to go anywhere that won't provide a sub 6 month upgrade. I'm a very experienced CFI so I know that I'm ready to handle the left seat of the 175.

You're so qualified, I think you should go straight to the left seat of a 777. Don't even apply to any regionals, just go straight to United.

I think they might have some bases in the northeast you can commute to.
