I made a hundred bucks off it. Sold too early, but as is life. I think I held it for a whole 20-30 minutes? I wasn't about to hold on to a BK company for long term, and we all know that long term in aviation is an hour and a half =P

I think I've held mine now for about 90 minutes. I'll probably sell it before the van to the airport, but if I can make a couple hundred bucks sitting in the hotel, why not? Seems like its settling in right around $1.50 now

Rumor mill has it, that United Airlines. Is putting together a buyout offer to present to the BK court.

This is extremely hard to believe, but that is VERY BAD news for the crews there.

Even if that was true, I'm sure their offer would be along the lines of eliminating the Delta and American contracts completely. Of course the judge would have to approve.

United has been on record several times indicating they do not want to own a contract feed but anything is possible I suppose.

In the normal course of events, RAH would not sell the Airline and it might be something United would not be interested in buying. But, the BK filing has changed everything. The opportunities might be to great to pass up, United is flush with cash. After the judge voids the bad leases and Delta, AA contracts. It would a simple process. It would also address the pilot shortage. Of course the BK judge would have the final word. And there's the rub, Republic does not have control of its Destiny.
