Allegiant 'accident waiting to happen'
I don't work there but can any guys that do shed some light on this?

Over the past 3 or 4 years you can hardly go a month that Allegiant hasn't had an engine shutdown, flight control or pressurization problem. If it weren't for the skill of the pilots, this airline would have been the latest Valujet.

Agreed, cheers to Allegiant professional pilots. Working in questionable conditions, denied strike ability and yet they still come to work to do the job safely.

This is why all pilot unions need to come together and fight the Railway Labor Act. Until pilots are removed from this regulation we are screwed. We have no recourse but to follow a long drawn out bureaucratic process that only benefits management. Until then all you can do is choose to not work for companies such as this. The problem is that people are lining up to go to this place!!

Not sure why the FAA isn't all over them. Multiple times on Approach I've heard Allegiant returning to the field.

My understanding is that the FAA has them on heightened watch, both in maintenance (where a lot of the problems seem to originate) and operations. The latter prohaps stems from the two management pilots who landed at a closed airport after not reading the NOTAMS.

Well in all fairness the airport wasn't closed-closed. There was an airshow going on and they had to declare to get in. Why should Allegiant have to modify their schedule so the blue angels can woo people? They only got there 2+ hours late. The show should have been delayed to allow them to get in.

Ah because that's the rules, that has always been the rules, and will continue to be rules. The Blue Angels will be flying long, long after allegiant shuts down.
