Eagle bases

On average, how many DFW slots are available in a new hire class at American Eagle? If you cannot secure DFW initially, how long will it take to bid and get there after being hired?

New policy is to confirm domiciles prior to assigning class dates! You may have to wait a while for a DFW class, losing senoirity in the process, but if it's that important then this is good news for you. See the "Eagle changes recruiting policies" thread.

not to steal the thread, but on the same note what about LAX on the erj or saab?

Well that would be the exact same answer. They are now allowing you to choose and confirm your domicile prior to training. Don't know how to make it any more clear.

One note: they are NOT relaxing their screening. Still too many folks busting the written portion of the interview (no excuse for this one, just study the dang Gleim manual), and other than deleting the COG test the interview process is still thorough.

New info on minimums and domiciles here:

LAX EMJ is *extremely* senior.

With the new rule, they guarantee base, *not* equipment.

If you tell them you want LAX, as a new hire, I can bet that you will get the Saab at LAX.

Will they still be determining bases by seniority of age? I'm 21 and would be looking to be based at LGA.

I know, I was only stating the facts as they are.

JoePilot85, did you get a class date already? Or, are you a future hopeful for Eagle?

Again, their new rule, they will confirm your domicile before training, so you can get LGA before training starts.

If you already have a class date, then that might be handled how they've been doing it: oldest gets first pick, then move to younger ones in class.

You should have no problem getting LGA is a very JR. base. You MIGHT get it from day 1.
