Are all regionals paying for CTP now?

Pardon me if I'm a little behind on the industry trends, and gaining the info I need has been piecemeal at best...combing through these threads and finding gouge info from other sites, etc.

My ATPw will expire on July 31. I am hearing that most regionals will include the CTP now. My question is, does that lengthen the training period for pilots needing the R-ATP as opposed to pilots coming in with non-expired writtens (or who already have the ATP)? By how long and what would the impact be? Is CTP done in house or somewhere else?

I have 1470 total, 100MEL, and I meet all the other requirements for the R-ATP. With some luck, it's possible I could get a class date early in May, then I might make the 7/31 deadline in time. But in case I don't make it, I need to know what having to do this CTP thing will entail.

Thanks for any help.

Most airlines will send you to the ATP-CTP course before you go to class. By the way, with 1470 TT you could start class tomorrow.

That was another question I had... what is the typical response time now from the day you submit to the day you hear back?

Call Mesa before they close for the day. You'll be hired by 5

Mesa will make you sign a $4000 note for the CTP. If you leave before 4 years you will be required to pay back a portion of the costs.

I don't know about all the airlines but at Skywest, you should get a call within 2-5 days of applying and get an interview the following week, and could start class a few weeks later. I had a class date lined up when I had 1300 TT.

Every regional has plusses and minuses. Theres some good things about Mesa, but pay is not one of them

OK so just to clarify, are they sending EVERYBODY who currently don't have the ATP-multi/R-ATP in hand? Or are we just talking about those who won't have it by July 31? I took my written on 7/31/2014, the day before the new rules went into effect.

Most airlines are only sending those who do not have the ATP knowledge test complete.
