My napkin math says about $1000 /employee? Or something to that effect. And that is based off of 2015 numbers.

It's much more than that. Also, seems as if different work groups will get different amounts with pilots being higher tiered. Some quick napkin math by me using 2015 numbers put it at $3,000+. And that doesn't take into consideration a larger share of the pie since I don't know what it will be.

5% of 7.6B is around $3500 split evenly if you use 2015 numbers.

That is also if it was shared equally amongst 110,000 employee's, but it won't be, it's going to be based off your annual earnings. Pilots will likely get more money as their earnings are higher than the majority of the employees. At least the Captains and all the Mainline pilots would get a higher cut anyway, some FO's will too. Many of the ground employee groups and FA's, which are a huge percent of the overall group don't make as much annually so they will get less of the share.

It may not be enough for a new Harley or Boat but I'll be able to get a cheap AR.

Yep, mainline pilots seem pretty excited to be getting 1/5th of what Delta pilots received.
I guess we shouldn't feel so bad about being worth less than 1/2 of endeavor pilots.

It's free money so I can't complain, but I don't mind pointing out how AAG once again fails to match the industry standard.

It is (non negotiated) free money. I agree it's not as nearly as much as it should be, but could lead to negotiations of getting more back in the future.

Surprised AA did this at all to be honest. Must be something that benefits them in some way.
