What's a Snap back provision?

Mesaba guys have a 5% pay cut with a "snap back" provision. I was just curious what that was.

That's where a pilot group gives up something to help out with near-term financial problems, but have a contract clasue that automatically restores the pay scale at a later date.

Do they also get the 5% back or just back to the original salary?

Our snapbacks are structured such that we will regain what was "current book" by the end of the TA.
