For all the wannabes and those stuck on RSV - looks like AWAC lost 18 people in March, and 7 already for April. I know a couple of those 25 were from the bottom of the RSV FO list. Small newhire classes are planned for 4/16 and 4/30.
I've met 3 CAs in the last 3 days that are waiting to hear from the April Southwest Decision Board...and all have had their references contacted.
We'll go from overstaffed to junior manning before we know it!

I am happy you are getting with your dream airline and I hope you like it. We have been in a bit of the doldrums lately, but there is starting to be some movement. We just had a few upgrades and word is that in another month or so we will have another vacancy with more upgrades.
Hopefully we can claw our way back to the top of the heap, but as long as we work on the east coast for the airline with the most passenger complaints of any US carrier it will be an uphill battle. We work out of some tough places.
Look at it this way - you will likely never again work in a more frustrating work environment than at AWAC. Not all of it is AWAC's fault. Some yes. Some no.
Welcome aboard!!

Last month I flew about 54 hrs, credited 89:20 thanks to daily open time(March). Feb. was slow, April I have picked up a two day out of open time, and flown 4 days so far this month and it is the 6th of April. Groon...do you request last out every sequence?

haha... hardly. They know I want to fly, but for whatever reason any open time I want to pick up is always denied stating "must maintain reserve coverage"... even on my days off. Actually I have never requested last out, but I don't think they even care what you request... all they recognize is the small picture. I think I am finally up to about 15 legs... THIS YEAR!!! Gotta love min pay and no per diem. I still have less than 150 hours in the airplane and my sim partner from last summer has over 400. Why... your guess is as good as mine.

No he doesn't... I crashpad w/ the guy and he doesn't request last out. Infact, he does everything possible to try to fly. Here in ORF, you DO NOT FLY on rsv. I took my PC last month with 140 hrs. in the plane. There is rarely opentime down here, if ever. THIS IS HOW IT HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST 10 MONTHS. At present, there IS movement starting to happen, so I'm not going to say that this will continue. IF it does however, don't be surprised...
