This thread is just plain scary. Upgrading after 1000 Sic.
You will really start shaking when you think that there are some folks moving into their second aircraft as PIC. These folks have just a little more than the 1000 SIC and no experience in the new aircraft in the right seat at all.

1150 in 18 mos. That includes training and taking a month off. However, I wasn't on reserve very long.

I had exactly 1150 at the 18 month point as well. I was even out of flying on medical for almost a month, too.
Training + a few months of reserve and not picking up any extra flying could easily mean taking 18-24 months to hit that 1000 121.
At Trans states it seems to be somewhere between 20-22 months. Last fall and winter a lucky few were upgraded with only 7-9 months at the company, but we'd need to see some more movement and/or get some big new hire classes to see upgrades drop below the one year mark again.

You guys only fly around 500hrs a year in 121 ? That's like 40/mo.
That's my goal to fly 4o hours and less a month... No reason to kill yourself for this industry

Endeavor's junior CA on the last award is a Mar 2016 hire. JFK 200 CA. Obviously has previous 121 experience to have the required time.

I'm on pace for 1000 sic in my first year at republic. Never sat a day of reserve though.
