LAX based pilots stay in the west unless they are on reserve and deadheaded to another base for an assignment.

The LAX lines that a buddy just sent me don't look all that bad for commuting. the training pay looks good and they let you choose the domicile and a/c. I think I would pass on the shiny jet in ORD to get the SAAB in LAX. With the attrision this would not be that bad of a time. Does anyone know if they are going to be bringing PSP back???

Nope, they fly to 5 airports only, and by the time you upgrade to CA you can fly the routes blindfolded. Basically shuttle flying, predictable and you'll get a lot of hours since weather is always good in CA.

Don't forget about LAX cost of living. It's just about one of the most expensive places in the country.
