upgrade time
Quote from SAABTRASH:"Besides, all their quick movement is coming to a screaching halt because they received their last airplane. Upgrade times will go up and movement will be based off attrition which is pretty slow.
The only "quick upgrade" probably is Colgan. otherwise you're better off going to a more solid company like ExpressJet, Mesaba, SkyWest[/QUOTE] Actually, Pinnacle has been losing as many as 20/month primarily to FedEx. They have also had to cancel lines because of lack of crews. Pinnacle needs pilots BADLY! We are offering $500 to current employees who refer a candidate who successfully completes training. Management told our class that the new contract should be done by the end of the year...then again, that's management |
One problem I heard though is that you get paid only $200/week for training, and you don't get that till the end of training. It'd be hard to not get paid for 2 months, even though they say they're paying through training. Wait 2 months for a $1600 payoff.

You do only get paid $200/wk in training and Pinnacle pays your housing. You get paid weekly though, not in a lump sum. |

Hey saabtrash while i agree with you that Pinnacle has had its fair share of problems, I wont sit here and read some ignorant comments about Pinnacle pilots being problem children. Guess what every company has its fair share of problem pilots. As an ex 9e pilot I am proud to say that every single pilot I flew with there was as professional as in any other pilot group. I dont know who you are employed by if you are even employed but next time you open your mouth or type anything watch out who's feet you are stepping on, he or she might be in your left or right seat one day........

We are losing closer to 25-30 a month (17 in the first 8 days of Sept), to other regionals, LCC, Majors and Cargo. It is about 50/50 between new FO's and CA's.
Rumors of contract by the end of this year (we have not even talked about section 3 yet) and more jets are abound in Nonconnah. Would you expect anything else to a new hire looking at no better than 11 day off for a long time? |
Saabtrash you obviously do not have the professionalism that the industry demands. There is no point in even having a discussion with you. Your screen name says it all. Good Luck with your aviation career....
