Are these new ones TSO'd without the use of that stupid earbud? QC15's are not rugged enough for everyday use like this. I have the old u-flymike, just loved how I would lose all audio if the adapter pulled out a fraction of a mm or the batteries died.
Yes, extremely comfortable and quiet in a turbofan airplane.

Yes, they will be TSOd without earbuds for the QC25. They don't plan on getting TSO approval at all for the QC15 with the new mic.

Yeah part of the incentive of creating this new mic was to remove the need for the battery. Battery is just for ANR (assuming you're without the ANR/Airbus plug), and if the battery dies you still have audio, hence the TSO won't require earbuds in case the battery goes out.

I had the previous ones for years, never once had the issues with the adapter coming out. And though the QC isn't "rugged", it certainly can last for 5-10 years. I replaced my earphone pads for $10 after a few years. I've noticed the Bose X and A10 seem to be equal to or less durable for x2 the price.

Very happy with my QC-15's. No need to buy the new one but I will definitely recommend this to others. Best headset hands down.

Are they enough in turboprops? I'm currently running Pro-Xs, but they get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours and dont quite attenuate as much as I'd hoped.

That post is incorrect, possibly based off of an older firmware version. Mine shuts off BT as soon as an audio cable is plugged in. I sent him an email telling him about it and got the reply that he would look into it, that's the last I heard.

Worked well on the Saab with the QC15.

I ordered mine on the night of the presale right at midnight eastern. My order number was 1277. I had to be one of, if not the first. My confirmation email is time stamped 12:01.
