The latest gouge on the SkyWest interview is the end of January from www.aviationinterviews.com, can anyone PM me so I can discuss the latest interview process with them please? Thank you.

Study jepps, turbine stuff, wx, regs and the ATP. I use alot of gouges to prepare for the interview and they didn't like it. They do ask questions that are not on the gouges but they cover the same info. Good luck and by the end of the day keep your head up.

Thanks for your advice. Regarding the ATP prep, do they ask W/B or Perf questions relating to figures? In otherwards, should I be studying everything in the ATP prep excluding Part 135? My interview with a different airline they excluded any figures questions relating to PErf or W/B.

Disregard anything in the ATP that has a "refer to figure" question. That drops the question bank to about 800 or so questions. Depending on who you get for your tech interview they will ask you questions about your current flying, rules, regs ect. If you fly 121, they will ask you 121 stuff. I currently work as an instructor so all they asked were part 91 question and FOI. Anything is up for grabs on the questions. Everyone in my interview group was asked different question, so study everything you possibly can. If you can't remember an answer, just tell so. BS'ing an answer will get you into trouble. Know your current twin aircraft like you built the thing yourself. I fly a few different planes and they wanted me to talk about only one of them. Be able to digram every system from scratch. I didn't know everything they asked of me and didn't fly a perfect sim, but I sold them on my personality and got the job. They can teach you to fly the plane, they can't teach you to be nice! Also, study the 121 regs in the ATP. There were a few of them on my test!

Test isn't that bad, I was thinking the same thing as you were when I got hired. Looking back it was pretty easy. Just be familiar with the ATP questions. Know airplane and Regs and go get some practice in the Sims beforehand at American Aviation. Stay at the Candlewood or Baymont and it is right by the Sims (within 500 feet) and they will take you to the interview in the morning. PM if you want. Gouges should be pretty accurate. VDP was asked of me, engine, and electrical system. Fuel had also been asked of others. Just a basic diagram is all that's needed. If you don't know something, just let them know. It really is about your personality and train-ability as everyone else says.

For any rj drivers out there studying for the Skywest interview, How detailed did they get with systems questions?

My roommate is an RJ driver.... I'll try and think to ask him. He and I both interviewed on Jan 18
