Passports for interviews

I have been looking for my passport for a week now with no luck. I didn't lose it it's just missplaced. By that I mean it hasn't been stolen by anyone or tossed in the trash. I've received an invite for an interview and while I'm in Houston will be attending another one there. They say to bring a 1st class med, drivers license, and passport. I'm flying into Houston on the 28th. I can't get a passport that fast. Is there anything else they'd consider? I still have my previous passport but I think when you get issued a new one the numbers might change. If it's for the TSA requirments I know they'll take a birth certificate to prove citizenship. Anything I can do?

Suggest you go here http://passportdocs.com/passport-lostorstolen.htm right now. You can get a replacement in time. Good luck on the interviews.

There are a few passport issuing sites in the country that can provide them very rapidly (one is in LA IIRC), but you would have to travel to get one.

The passport is not required as a proof of citiznship or right-to-work, they just want you to have one so they know you can do international trips. If you have a reciept showing that you have applied for a new passport, that should suffice for an interview.

Hmmm. Wow I don't know if I can afford to blow $300 for a passport. I'm tring to save up money. I'll have to keep looking for mine. I guess. There was a place in houston I went to get my original one in person. I think a government office. I'll give them a call. SAAB where did you go how much was it?

Local US post office that processes passport application can do the job.

You may need to bring along a few passport size photos (in case they don't take the photos there).

Since I'll be in the Houston area does anyone have XJT's HR number to call? I figured I'd give them a call and see if they would let me interview while there. Should I call the staffing number or corp. office? I don't really see one just called HR anywhere.

I thought you had one. sorry, my fault. Just trying to help. You talked it up about what a great backpack it was and how it's been all over the world with you.
