DFW airport car
I've been thinking about driving to training after CBTs and possibly leaving my car in DFW as an airport car. Is it worth it to have a car as a commuter in DFW? Maybe just while on Reserve? I'm assuming I could get company parking but then would lose whatever I would get at home.

Better be upper 40's maybe even early 50's. i had 6 age 50 plus in my class. They took all 6 slots.
If you get the 145 I would plan on spending 2-3 months in ORD or LGA on reserve, before getting back to DFW. With all the new hires coming back to DFW I doubt they will be offering 145DFW out of class. I could be wrong but over the next 2-4 months 90 plus new hires will be back in DFW.

Could one legitimately expect to hold ORD out of training on the 145?

They keep offering ORD OR LGA. Your choice. I've yet to see just LGA and no ORD. I think with all the new hires that left those bases to go back to DFW they will continue to hire into ORD on a regular basis. So the answer to your question is most likely yes you can.
