Envoy
#283
The over the top praising Envoy as an absolute utopia, acting as if everything is rainbows and unicorns, acting as if there is absolutely no problem with the airline, while failing to acknowledge the significant QOL issues...well that also gets old. Look, I personally think that Envoy is a good place to work. Things are finally on the upswing. Upgrade time is dropping like a rock, pay incentives are here, flow is working, AA travel benefits are best in the industry, we are currently hiring like gang busters and being wholly owned by AA provides more security than a contract regional. I honestly think that now is a great time for new hires to get in.
Having said that, there are challenges that this pilot group face. Namely, the schedules. They're awful. They are destroying families, especially for commuters. Lines have low days off coupled with low pay. Crew hotels are getting worse and worse. Junior mans are out of control and the company has the audacity to start junior manning into 3 days and counting it as one. Now, as staffing gets back under control, the junior man issue should work itself out. Schedules, I'm beginning to worry will never improve to a decent level. At least not anytime in the near future.
Bottom line, like I said...overall I think Envoy is a good place to be. I think there is a bright future and I think things will continue to improve. I'd recommend to anybody to work for Envoy. There are a lot of pros, but you have to acknowledge the cons as well. And for CR700, dacuj and co. to come on here and act like sleazy used car salesmen, it really doesn't help the cause. You all come off as less than truthful, in-genuine, and like you'd say anything and everything to make a sale. If you guys toned it down and acted a little more real, then maybe the likes of Trinity Dawn and co. wouldn't feel the need to go overboard with the bashing in attempt to balance you guys out.

So far everyone has been getting through that I have seen at at the hotel. There was one person in the CRJ that was having a little difficulty in the sims but that person made it through. If you do what you supposed to do. You'll make it.

There was a guy in my class that didn't make it. He got far into the training program. I knew day one he wasn't going to make it. A couple of my friends washed out of training. I was shocked to hear about one of them but the other I wasn't too surprised with after hearing about his study habits from his classmates.
If you come in to training thinking it's going to be a cake walk and they will hold your hand then you are crazy. If you come in and know your **** work hard and put forth effort then the CAs in your class as well as your class mates will be more likely to help you get through it. People can tell when you study and when you blow it off trying to cram it in the night before. I would be a lot more willing to help the the struggler than the lazy.
Last thing if you are struggling speak up. Ask questions. Get help. Be proactive.
Good luck.

I thought all those numbers just changed with the new vacancy bid? Not sure that's accurate now. I had a handful of people below me in ORD and couldn't hold DFW. Now I'm in DFW with about 20-30 people below me. I think the majority of the new DFW FO's came from LGA.
