Are Envoy (or any AAG airline besides AA) employees eligible for the Fedex 75% off discount with employee ID?

Ha, no kidding! I used to do IOE when I was there. Man, that 145 could SLOW DOWN fast! On glideslope all the way, and on speed, on power, fully stabilized by 1200' AFL.

There's is NO WAY that can be done on the Airbus 321 or 737. Not even close. Too slick.

Fun times.

It's slightly more challenging with the new FADECs, but can still be done.

401(k) questions.....

When am I considered 50/100% vested? (I can't find any information on this.)

Also, say I don't contribute anything for the first six months and then I start contributing 15% per month. Can I play catch up with the company matching? Or in order to get the 50% of 7 up to 3.5% do I have to contribute every month? ( I have to say my knowledge is very limited on 401k matching so please dumb down your responses for me.)

It's all factual and true, but disregard it. Interesting reply.

Since no one ponied up other than you, can you answer the question for him as to how long RSV is for new hires today?

Reserve in base isn't bad. It's all about personal preference. I bid to have the most time at with my family as possible. Others bid for different reasons. Some pilots say the worst hard line is always better than the best reserve line. Like the old saying goes different strokes for different folks.

I can't remember for sure but it seems like you're 100% vested after 4ish years, the Empower people could tell you for sure. No 50% vesting, just jumps to 100%. Can't play catch up. Don't have to contribute every month to get the match, they'll just match any time you do contribute.

Yes the situation you put forth is so beyond what could happen it's like planning ones life based on a Texas sized asteroid hitting earth and Bruce Willis not here to stop it.

My point is simple. There is enough flying to be had by anyone that wants it to not worry about upgrading passing you by before you meet the requirements.

I am almost positive it is 3 years before you are fully vested. Up until that point, all of the company match is lost if you leave before 3 years (no 50% vested that I am aware of).
