At this point, with the hiring that is going on at the majors, any decent pilot should be able to get hired outside of the flow at a decent major in just a few years. Flowing to the lowest paid major with the worst management (AAL) should not be anyone's first choice right now. Flow is a nice backup plan, but that should not be the reason to choose an airline. Look at quality of life and bases.
Glad to hear we turned down the guy with 2 rape/assaults on his record...

Really? That is one story that I don't want to hear more about.

But he was probably a really good pilot and deserved the job.

Did PSA involuntarily move pilots from CLT to DCA?

A few of the street hire captains were moved, but they will likely never end up going to DCA. Several captains that are more senior are starting to bid DCA. They wanted to make sure that they would be lineholders before they moved there.

A friend that is a CLT CA and lives south of Baltimore is planning on moving to DCA base on the next bid. He just wanted to make sure it didn't end up going super senior for some reason.

Being a street captain is often not a good thing. You are junior on the CA list for a LONG time. Our DEC's that were hired in 2015 will likely not be a line holder as a CA for another 18 months.

I had someone from this site that I referred interview and get the job with PSA yesterday. We talked today, and he said that one of the problems in studying for the interview was that he had a hard time finding jepp plates to study, especially from CLT. I had emailed him some of the plates.

After talking to him today, I thought I would share some of the plates that seem to be used for PSA interviews for people to study. His advice was to study and know every symbol (the interviewer will ask just about anything, even the little obscure ones to know how deep your knowledge goes), ask you about takeoff and landing minimums, how to fly an arrival and how to fly an approach (including the missed).
