PenAir Pilots Fortress of Solitude

Im not drinking the KoolAid. I'm counting more lines than that, I haven't been here that long and will probably have a 4/3 line in DEN. I'd be about 50% in PDX. Not saying I'm OK with TDY'ing indefinitely, but I think KD knows we need to be home and is working on it.

She cant do @&$! If people keep leaving and no one wants to come here because of all the issues... it's only a matter of time for this denver operation to fall apart. Maybe they should have thought about staffing this place fully before opening the base. Just with the hopes that ANC guys are wiling to be cooped up in a hotel all month not knowing what the next one will bring. I've had enough with this place. Only a matter of a few days to weeks before i'm out. I know plenty of people are right there with me

Just One Superhero's Opinion...
There are better options than PenAir. I speak from experience as I chose to leave. I do not regret my decision. PenAir's financial status and practices are shaky at best, which is the main reason I cannot in good conscience recommend PenAir. I can only speak to what I saw while I was there and the information I gathered from employees in the know due to their position or longevity, because PenAir is a private company and their financial data is not open source. I was grateful that every day I walked into the building, the doors actually opened and that my paycheck was deposited on-time every month; however, I thought about it on most days and fear that day is coming sometime in the near future (this is only my opinion). In addition, management on the first floor has a good track record of either promising or "hinting" at benefits (ANC based, upgrade time, 4on/3off schedule) which they never intend to make good on. If you still think you want to give PenAir a try, ask for a written contract to back up the "sales pitch". I won't even go into the monthly fight for credit pay. I fought the good fight as long as I could, and then took the advice of a senior captain - I let PenAir take a little bit of money out of my back pocket every month. It was either that or risk a stroke/heart attack from the outrage. ~Just keeping' it real~ Sincerely, Deadpool

I will say one thing. I am very grateful for the opportunity to fly here ( atleast while I was up north). Everyone I flew with was awesome and some of the best pilots i've ever flown with, great personalities, skills, everything you would hope for in a place. But the disconnect between management and pilots is out of this world.

Hate to say it but i do not see that happening. Management is a pilot hating group. Every 2 weeks they send out our paychecks and just hate the fact that we are the highest employees/expenses on their list. Also how do you think they will give say just the captains a pay raise when they can even pay out a quarterly bonus to the fo's? Supposedly something happened with the paperwork and not getting it in on time. I highly doubt that! Why do you think scotty B is now a part owner? Hmmm lets think for a second, penair not paying bills, penair not paying people, penair bad credit... he is a short term resolution to their money/credit problem. It's not good
