SkyWest was awarded Plattsburgh to start 1 July.
Presque Isle was awarded to United Airlines, which will be operated by Commutair, starting 1 July.
Boutique and Silver have bids in for Bar Harbor. There was a request for a rebid and these two have put in bids.

Put Up or Shut Up
It looks like Jetstream and PenAir jointly filed a "Put Up or Shut Up" motion in bankruptcy court. If PenAir doesn't make payments over the next few months, the 2000 goes bye-bye.

From what I hear from the guys still there is they just bought a 2000, but they are short on 340s because they don’t have engines. Which sounds typical of how the idiots on the second floor operate, they just double down on bad decisions. Hopefully they get bought out but I doubt it, Chapter 7 is in their near future.

Curious
Is there any rule against passenger participation in these forums? I hope I'm not breaking protocol...as someone who flies on Penair frequently for work I'm curious about a few things and this thread seems to be the best source of information I can find.
My flight to King Salmon a few days ago experienced some sort of engine problem. First on the ground, then again at cruising altitude. Reading this thread suggests that engine problems may not be uncommon on these Saab 2000s (and in fact a coworker had similar troubles on a previous flight this month). In the air I noticed a change in left prop RPM and a sort of surging sound. The crew immediately turned around and I continued to notice occasional 'surges' on the way back to Anchorage.
I'm just curious what sort of fault we might have experienced and what sort of problems are ongoing with the adoption of the Saab 2000? I wrote the airline inquiring about this and so far all I've got is a message saying someone will get back to me. Hasn't happened yet... I realize there might be policies against/reluctance to share details, but I'd appreciate any information you guys can safely share.
